50% off Polka Dot Treasure Hunt
We don’t do this very often, but right now you can take 50% off some of our amazing art pieces. The deal is that any item marked with a polka dot like you see in the photo will be 50% off the original written price. Some are pieces that the artist has chosen to mark down because he or she wants to make room for new work. In some cases the artists moved and they forgot to pick up their paintings or photos. In a very few instances, there’s damage to glass or a frame, but the piece itself is intact. At any rate, this is an opportunity for our clients to come treasure hunting for polka dots and true art bargains. Come see us!
Included in the Polka Dot Treasure Hunt are works by:
Victor Gerloven. The late mixed media artist was also a former president of North Carolina’s Brunswick Arts Council. A student of Mark Rothko, Victor was a force in the local art community. Many still name him as one of their great influences. Included in the sale are etchings, mixed media pieces, acrylic paintings, and prints.
Louis Aliotta. Lou, who also serves as the gallery’s custom frame designer, is one of our popular photographers of local landmarks and scenes. You can choose from framed prints, photos on canvas, and unframed images of Southport and Calabash, including the local waterfronts, bridges and storefronts.
C.E. Smith. Chip Smith is known for his rich black & white photographic images of the low country. Included in this sale are also some Southport images (One is the house that was featured is Safe Haven, the Nicholas Sparks movie filmed in Southport).
Vic Gillespie. Vic is a local water media icon and several of his pieces are included in the sale, too!
Ginny Lassiter. The gallery owner is also a prolific acrylic painter. She’s added a few of her own pieces to the pot!
