Goodacre was a sculptor best known for having designed the Sacagawea dollar coin and the Vietnam Women’s Memorial in Washington DC. Her bronze sculptures feature lively expression and texture. Her art appears in public, private, municipal, and museum collections throughout the US. Her most monumental piece is the Irish Memorial in Philadelphia with thirty-five life size bronzes. “The Bather” is the seventh in a series of fifteen and came to the gallery through Larsen Art Auction in Arizona.
