Working out of a private studio in Calabash, NC, Kimberley favors figurative sculptures and also loves animals. She often works in clay and then has her originals cast in bronze. She says, “I have been sculpting and drawing all my life ...I sculpt as much as time allows. I still work full time in private practice as an aesthetic surgeon on the Grand Strand. In college, I took figurative sculpture classes as well as figurative drawing with live models. Anatomy class while in medical school, and even a medical illustration elective, have helped refine my work.” Much of her inspiration has come from her work with patients dealing with breast cancer and reconstruction.
