Some 40+ years ago, Sherry took a basic jewelry class only to be sidetracked by life in general until several years later when she rediscovered the pleasure of creating and designing jewelry. Today, she is known for her embossed silver and copper pieces. Along with the metals she loves, Sherry uses semiprecious stones, bones, and other objects from nature to create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.
She has recently expanded into using leather both in jewelry design and in unique purses, backpacks and eyeglass cases. According to the artist, "I'm am always trying different types of crafts, but I think designing jewelry and accessories are the one I enjoy the most.
Sherry calls her enterprise Silverbeadle, which is a play on words (and occupations). In addition to being an artisan jeweler, she is a marine biologist with a specialty in aquatic insects.
