Come Porching with us April 23rd at Woodsong

We have some fun news! We’re going to join Shallotte’s Village of Woodsong for their Spring festival, Woodsong Porch & Art Stroll. It takes place on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will be “taking over” some of the beautiful porches in this traditional neighborhood and filling them with art and artists. (And yes, the art will be for sale!) So you’ll be able to meander through this charming community, enjoying the creativity and the friendly neighborhood.

Participating artists include acrylic painter Ginny Lassiter; potters Mary Cross, Janice Wyckoff, and Betsy Parker (lots of garden art!); pastel artists Nancy Guiry and Linda Young; watercolor artist Pat White with her notecards and coasters; oil painter Elaine Bigelow; folk artist Janna Stidham (wait till you see her wooden pieces); jeweler Kathie Wolk; and fabric artist Mona Bendin with her hand-sewn pillows. We can’t wait!

There will be live music by the Fun Fatale trio and Woodsong resident Powell Palmer. There will be lots to eat. Food vendors include Concessions by Jumpin’ Java Espresso Co, 2 Bros Coastal Cuisine Food Truck, Sunset Slush Classic Italian Ice, Granny Niece’s Ice Cream truck and wine by Petrea Imports. It’s going to be a fun day!

There is a $5 admission fee, which will go towards a Woodsong Arts and Sciences Scholarship for Brunswick Community College students. This is a great cause and we’re so happy to be part of it! We hope you’ll come on out and visit! Let’s hang out on the porch!
