Featured during the gallery’s group show, Abstraction, will be a demonstration by Ginny Lassiter on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m. There is no charge for the demo and no reservations are necessary. Just stop by and enjoy watching as Ginny develops one of her expressionist pieces.

Ginny works most often in acrylic, creating abstracted landscapes and abstracts. “Every time we host a workshop with artist Sterling Edwards, I’m a happy participant,” she says, “and it  has really opened my eyes to shapes and textures. I love the whole process of painting abstracts!” Ginny teaches a class called Elements of Abstract on Thursday mornings at the gallery.

This Ocean Isle Beach resident has always been a creative soul. She’s a potter, she paints, she sketches, she designs fabrics. She graduated from East Carolina with a major in art and an emphasis in Interior Design. Whenever she gets the chance, Ginny loves working as a style consultant, helping her friends and clients solve design challenges and create the home of their dreams.

The group show Abstraction opened on March 4 and runs through April 4. It includes work by Ginny Lassiter, Tim Patton, Sterling Edwards, Joe DiGiulio,  and Roberta Rotunda. For information call the gallery at 910.575.5999. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
