Great news! We’ll be taking part in this local shopping event! This year the Calabash Merchant Association is introducing a SHOP LOCAL campaign the same weekend as the Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade, Thursday, Nov. 30; Friday, Dec. 1 (the day of the parade); and Saturday, Dec. 2. It is called, “Christmas Shopping Bash in Calabash” and Calabash will be jumping! For these three days, we will be open late – from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Here at the gallery, we have so many hand-crafted Christmas ornaments and Holiday gifts, you’ll have fun searching through our Sunset River Holiday Show by the gallery entrance and looking for treasures on our eight-foot tree! Plus, you won’t want to miss our Out of the Box show, which is a collection of eclectic art, dyed scarves, alcohol painted tiles, felted wool purses, jewelry, boxes and more – all by the Art Matters artist group. There will be plenty of Holiday treats, hot mulled cider, wine, and gift certificate drawings, so come on by! We can’t wait to see you! And don’t forget – Shop Local!!
There’s so much to do in Calabash. Don’t miss the Low Country Shops, where you’ll find unique spots like Mary Keefe’s Yardbird Emporium, the Bamboo Boutique, Annabelle’s Attic and others. Also on Hwy 179 are Victoria’s Ragpatch (great women’s clothing!), Bloominggale’s Consignment, Jewelry By Wendy Gallery & Gifts, and Callahans, of course, just to name a few. If you’re hungry, choose from Bennett’s Grill for burgers and pulled pork; Calabash Garden Tea Room; and the Grapevine (tell Mac we say hello). The Calabash Deli is always good, too. Or turn the corner at the light on River Road and stop at Boundary House or hit your favorite seafood place. There are so many great little gems in this town. We hope you’ll come and explore!
