Born in Burlington, NC, Brent Hensley grew up in a family of story tellers, so it was natural that he developed his own creative flair and quick-witted humor. He also credits his years as an on-air radio personality for WBBB/WPCM radio in North Carolina. Recently,however, he has turned his interest to the world of mystery and intrigue. His 2016 novel Nebulous Deception, which delves into the dark and sinister world of sex-trafficking and kidnapping, is the first in his Connie Womack series.

Connie Womack is a paralyzed sleuth who is wheelchair-bound from an explosion that killed her husband. A retired military policewoman and former insurance investigator, Connie uses those experiences to solve her mysteries. His latest book, Initial Deception, is the prequel to that.
