May 12, 11 a.m – 12 noon, Dobie McArthur (Full Circle, Questionable Intent, Total Victory)

Full Circle is the first novel in McArthur’s Civil War series, which explores the ongoing struggle to reshape the American value system. Set in the mid-2020s, it tells the story of Guy Pearle, the CEO of a small East Coast company on the verge of an IPO. He is hounded by an editor who believes that publicly traded companies have an inherent responsibility to lead on social justice and climate change. Questionable Intent follow Guy as he takes an advisory role in the 2028 presidential campaign, despite his ardent desire to steer clear of politics. In a third novel, Total Victory, Guy battles enemies, both foreign and domestic, to tell the truth about a dirty bomb explosion in Mecca.

May 26, 11 a.m. – 12 noon, Michael & Shelly Warner (Holy Cow)

Authentic, inspiring and infused with raw vulnerability, Holy Cow is the deeply moving story of one man’s incredible struggles through illness and injury and the deep love story that transpires after he meets his wife, Shelly. The couple talks candidly about the many struggles they have endured with Michael offering details he has never shared publicly about his epilepsy, the car accident that very nearly took his life, his challenges, and his fears. With an emphasis on the exceptional needs community, their mission is to help others believe in the impossible, to lead by being active, healthy and sharing lessons learned along the way. After being told that Mike would in all possibility never walk again, the Warners have run marathons, completed centurion bike rides, and shared countless other finish line experiences. Together they illustrate that no obstacle is too large. Both are originally from Michigan and currently reside in South Carolina with their dog and two cats.
