Peter Warren featured author Oct. 2 in Sunset River Marketplace lecture series
“Confederate Gold and Silver” is the story of the lost Confederate treasury. It takes place during the Civil War as the treasury is moved south from Richmond and in 2011, when a retired police officer discovers the remains of a Confederate soldier in South Carolina along with clues to where the treasury is buried. “The Journey North,” co-written with Roy McKinney and Edward Odom, follows the earlier novel and focuses on the battle and strategy at Gettysburg. “The Horry County Murders” is a contemporary novel combining murder, drugs, criminals and suspense.
The program at Sunset River Marketplace begins at 10 a.m. Coffee and breakfast treats will be served. The event is free, but seating is limited so reservations are required. Call the gallery at 910.575.5999.
