Plein Air Painting with Oils at Vereen Gardens
Tuesday August 29, 2023  |  9:30-3:30 with a lunch break
$130 | non-refundable

Spend a lovely day outside learning how to paint in plein air! In the morning, the class will start with an oil painting demonstration. Carol will share how she quickly captures the landscape in plein air. You will learn how to focus in on a strong composition, define your values, identify your light source, establish a point of focus, and how to see and use color effectively to create atmosphere in your plein air paintings. You will learn the importance of painting light, shadows and colors from real life. There will be personalized teaching and individualized feedback throughout the day. 9:30-3:30 with a lunch break. All skill levels welcome. Pastel painters are welcome with the understanding that the demonstration will be in Oil.
