See Like a Photographer: the Basics. This fun two-hour workshop is designed for anyone who owns a digital DSLR or mirrorless camera and wants a better understanding of how to take control of their images and improve their photography. It includes both discussion and a walkabout in Calabash applying principles learned.
Discussion will cover the exposure triangle – shutter speed, aperture, and ISO – and how each affects the image. A PowerPoint presentation will illustrate with examples. Participants will explore how to adjust and change controls on their cameras. We will also cover the principles of light, composition, and color.
The photo walkabout in Calabash will take place either in the downtown area OR the waterfront. Instructor will provide a shot list as a starting point. Throughout the walk she will be checking on participants and answering questions.
The workshop is ideal for both beginning and intermediate level photographers. It is meant to educate and inspire participants to move away from program mode and take control of their image making.
