We’re still here!

To our clients, friends and artists, thank you for the calls, emails and posts asking about how we weathered the storm. We are very fortunate to have no flooding here at the gallery and no damage to the structure or the artwork during Hurricane Florence (September 2018). Most of us had to evacuate and are finding our way back to town now. With all the river flooding, that’s no easy task! We expect to reopen Monday, Sept. 24 with our regular hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We haven’t yet heard from all our artists and friends, so please leave a comment here or on our Facebook page to let us know you’re safe! We miss you all, so come and see us as soon as you can!

Once cabin fever sets in – and it’s safe – come on by to see Rachel Sundell’s fabulous acrylics exhibition, Skies of Coastal Carolina. It runs through Saturday, Oct. 6.

We hope to reschedule our Jeff Siebold’s Coffee With the Authors presentation that was originally set for Sept. 13. We will also reschedule the September Paint & Party classes we missed due to the storm.

A number of you have inquired, so YES! We plan to move forward with all our fall activities. Dale Yarmuth will be here for a Saturday Studio Artist Demo (wire sculpture) on Oct. 6, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Author Brent Hensley will be here to speak and sign books on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 10 – 11 a.m. (Please RSVP). Trees: A Different Dimension, featuring works by photographer Lou Aliotta, opens Oct. 10. Brunswick Arts Council’s show will go on as planned from Oct. 15 – 20 with a reception on Thursday evening, Oct. 18. Marcus McClanahan’s acrylic workshops in October and November are both good to go, as are Pat Smelkoff’s October batik and acrylic workshops. Any changes will be noted here on the website and on Facebook.

The Farm to Table show in November will go on as scheduled. Any artists who missed the deadline due to the hurricane, should call the gallery next week (910.575.5999) or email their submission materials. Click here for more info.

Stay safe, everyone. If you have had damage from the storm and subsequent flooding, our hearts go out to you. Please let us know how you’re doing. Check our Facebook page or call us for information!

So glad to hear that you are OK and did not sustain any damage to the building or art work! I hope that you and your staff did not suffer any damage to your homes also. Thank you for posting the update! You have a fantastic studio and showroom. Hope to see you soon!

Thank you Anne! We all have a lot of cleanup, but feel very fortunate! It could have been so much worse!
