Half Day Painting Workshop with Lynn Golitz:
Abstracting Naturescapes
Sunday April 27th, 2025, 1PM – 4PM
$160 | non-refundable
Juror for our Boundaries show, Lynn Golitz has agreed to two special workshops about abstraction: Abstracting Still Life and Abstracting Naturescapes. Students will explore composition and techniques for successful outcomes of abstraction.
From her website: Fascination and limitless push/pull is how I would describe my painting process. Blurring lines, asking for sharp edges, building layers, varied brushstrokes, and having a story to tell. Conceptual abstract ideas or moments that I bring to you on canvas.
Using shape, form, line, edge, chroma, and value in order to present my ideas with this question at the forefront: how does this translate with the viewer. Feel it, touch it, smell it, or taste it are some of the biggest compliments that I receive.
Skill level: working knowledge of color theory, forms, and shapes.
