Photo and framing by Louis Aliotta. “This piece painted by one of our fine artists, Gerry Davis, was especially fun to frame. I was given full rein on this one and chose to give it the very contemporary showcase that seemed to accent the linear design and bold use of black and yellow. Repeating the black and yellow in the matting focuses the eye on those colors while a fine white linen top mat creates separation and space to draw you in. The piece looked fine with a black lacquered frame but the addition of a second inner frame of yellow lacquer, made this piece truly come to life.”
