Louise Gerber is originally from Nutley, New Jersey, where she was a Research Scientist for 37 years at a pharmaceutical company. She retired to Calabash, North Carolina, in 2009. Always interested in art and painting, Louise took her first pottery class in 2010 with Jane Truesdale here at Sunset River Gallery.
The majority of Louise’s work is wheel thrown bowls, pots and urns. She enjoys hand painting pictures on her bowls and plates, including portraits of pets. Other techniques include using tape and glazes to create unique patterns and custom designs.
All her pottery is lead free, food safe, microwaveable and dishwasher safe unless otherwise specified.
